We are a non-profit organization providing on-line counseling services to those in need. Focusing on the underserved areas of the Northeast US, the goal of compassionatecounseling.org is to help meet the need for biblically-grounded faith-based counseling either directly through our own counselors or indirectly through strategic partnerships.

Compassionate Christian Counseling was founded by Clifton Render - a lifelong believer and follower of Christ. After being moved from the deep south (Alabama) to Connecticut for work, Clifton discovered that he hadn't been moved to Connecticut for work after all. Instead, he had been called there to serve the Lord as a part of the service team for a young and growing church plant that has continued to thrive and to grow.

After serving for several years as a children’s teacher, a Life Group leader, and an occasional Sunday morning speaker, Clifton began feeling a calling on his life to help others in a new and more direct way - through the healing ministry of biblical counseling.

After pursuing training through the National Christian Counseling Association, Clifton became a certified counselor and now seeks to use the internet as a tool to help those who are hurting or in need.

In addition to counseling, Clifton is available for fill-in preaching engagements if your church finds itself in need. Coming from a conservative evangelical Christian tradition, Clifton loves sharing the hope that he has in Christ and encouraging others to do the same. He wants everyone to understand the hope that can be found in Christ, and there's no better place to do that than in a bible-believing church that teaches God's word.
